6月3日至4日，市委外辦主任王敦滟率隊到澳大利亞、德國駐穗總領館開展城市招商活動，深化湛江對外交流合作，持續賦能湛江高水平對外開放與國際化發展。

　　From June 3 to 4, Wang Dunyan, Director of Zhanjiang Foreign Affairs Office, visited the Consulates General of Australia in Guangzhou and the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Guangzhou for investment promotion, which deepened Zhanjiang's international exchanges and cooperation and continuously empowered its high-level opening-up and international development.

　　在澳大利亞駐穗總領館，王敦滟向林漠怡總領事詳細介紹湛江經濟社會發展、重點產業布局等情況，梳理回顧湛江與澳大利亞北昆士蘭州凱恩斯市、西澳大利亞州杰爾頓市友好交往歷程，她表示，湛江市與凱恩斯市結好22周年，是中澳地方友城務實合作典范；湛江與澳大利亞合作基礎扎實、前景廣闊，希望在原有友城互動和文化交流基礎上，在經貿、教育、文旅、生態環境和青少年交流領域深化雙方交流合作，實現互利共贏。

　　At the Consulate General of Australia in Guangzhou, Wang Dunyan introduced to Consul General Maree Ringland  Zhanjiang’s economic and social development, as well as its key industrial layout. She also reviewed the history of friendly exchanges between Zhanjiang and Cairns Region of North Queensland, as well as Geraldton of Western Australia, noting that the 22nd anniversary of the sister-city relationship between Zhanjiang and Cairns stands as a model of pragmatic local cooperation between China and Australia. With a solid foundation and broad prospects for cooperation, Zhanjiang expects to deepen collaboration in trade, education, culture and tourism, ecological environment, and youth exchanges, on the basis of existing sister-city interactions and cultural exchanges, achieving mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.

　　林漠怡對湛江與澳大利亞交流合作尤其是友城合作取得的成果表示高度贊賞。她表示，凱恩斯市與湛江市傳統友誼深厚，雙方在經貿、教育、人文領域合作根基扎實、潛力巨大。總領事館愿與湛江市保持密切聯系，并適時率隊訪問湛江，尋求澳大利亞與湛江市在礦產貿易、農漁業、文旅、人文等領域更多合作機遇。

　　Consul General Maree Ringland highly praised the achievements made in exchanges and cooperation between Zhanjiang and Australia, particularly in sister-city cooperation. She said that Cairns and Zhanjiang share a profound traditional friendship, with a solid foundation and immense potential for cooperation in trade, education, and people-to-people exchanges. The Consulate General is willing to maintain close communication with Zhanjiang and will send a delegation to visit the city at an appropriate time to explore more opportunities for cooperation in mineral trade, agriculture and fisheries, culture and tourism, and people-to-people exchanges.

　　在德國駐穗總領館，王敦滟與萬玉鳳總領事分享湛江與德國交往歷程和各領域合作成果，希望以巴斯夫（廣東）一體化基地項目全面投產為契機，精準招引精細化工專精特新企業，助力湛江石化產業延鏈補鏈強鏈；伴隨今年湛江文化中心啟用，誠摯邀請德國文化藝術團組蒞湛演出，同時邀請總領事訪問湛江，了解產業合作發展機遇，拓展湛江與德國在經貿、職業教育、友城建設、人文藝術等領域合作。

　　At the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Guangzhou, Wang Dunyan shared with Consul General Dr. Josefine Wallat the history of exchanges between Zhanjiang and Germany, as well as the cooperative achievements across various fields. She expected that the full commissioning of the BASF (Guangdong) Integrated Site would serve as a prime opportunity to precisely attract specialized and sophisticated small-to-medium enterprises in fine chemicals sector. This effort aims to help extend, reinforce and upgrade Zhanjiang's petrochemical industry chain. Additionally, with the opening of the Zhanjiang Cultural Center this year, she sincerely invited German cultural and arts troupes to perform in Zhanjiang. She invited the Consul General to visit the city to explore industrial cooperation opportunities and expand collaboration between Zhanjiang and Germany in trade, vocational education, sister-city partnerships, and cultural arts.

　　萬玉鳳對湛江市委外辦一行到訪表示歡迎。她表示，湛江在綠色經濟、產業發展、城市建設、人文交流領域成果令人振奮，相信巴斯夫（廣東）一體化基地全面投產，將發揮行業引領作用，為德國與湛江交流創造新機遇，愿意為雙方在團組互訪、友城交往、職業人才培養、藝術團組交流等領域合作提供便利。

　　Consul General Dr. Josefine Wallat warmly welcomed the delegation from Zhanjiang Foreign Affairs Office. She said that Zhanjiang’s achievements in green economy, industrial development, urban construction, and people-to-people exchanges are truly inspiring. She expressed confidence that the full commissioning of the BASF (Guangdong) Integrated Site will play a leading role in the industry and create new opportunities for exchanges between Germany and Zhanjiang. The Consulate General is willing to facilitate bilateral cooperation in areas such as mutual visits by delegations, sister-city interactions, vocational training, and cultural and arts exchanges.
