　　古晉南市位于馬來(lái)西亞婆羅洲島的砂拉越河南岸，是砂拉越州首府，馬來(lái)西亞第四大城市，總面積61.53平方公里，人口28萬(wàn)。這里文化遺產(chǎn)豐富，自然風(fēng)光秀麗，是該國(guó)著名的旅游勝地。

Located on the southern bank of the Sarawak River, the City of Kuching South is the capital of the state of Sarawak and the fourth largest city in Malaysia. It covers an area of 61.53 km2, with a population of about 280,000.Rich cultural heritages and charming natural scenery make it a popular tourism destination in Malaysia.

The City of Kuching South, known as a“City on the Water”, has a convenient transportation system where most commodities of Sarawak are shipped from this city to Singapore for re-export. The city is a popular leisure destination, a business center and a shopping paradise in Malaysia.

　　2024年12月：湛江市政府代表團(tuán)應(yīng)邀赴古晉南市，出席馬來(lái)西亞（砂拉越）-中國(guó)合作論壇暨友好城市圓桌會(huì)，并在論壇上作城市推介。

InDecember 2024, Zhanjiang government delegation was invited by the City of Kuching South to attend Malaysia (Sarawak)?China Cooperation Forum and Mayor’s Roundtable on Friendship Cities Collaboration and promoted Zhanjiang at the forum.

　　2024年9月：湛江市舉行慶祝中華人民共和國(guó)成立75周年招待會(huì)，古晉南市市長(zhǎng)、拿督黃鴻圣發(fā)來(lái)祝賀視頻。

In September 2024, a congratulatory video by Dato Wee Hong Seng, Mayor of the City of Kuching South, was played at the Reception in Celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China held by Zhanjiang.

　　2018年7月：吳川市政府組織吳川粵劇南派藝術(shù)、吳川飄色文化交流團(tuán)赴馬來(lái)西亞參加第30屆古晉城市日慶?；顒?dòng)。

In July 2018, two troupes of Southern School of Cantonese Opera and Piaose sent by Wuchuan, a county-level city in Zhanjiang, visited Malaysia to participate in the 30th Anniversary of Kuching City Day.

　　2011年7月：湛江市與古晉南市締結(jié)國(guó)際友好交流城市關(guān)系。

In July 2011, Zhanjiang established friendship city relations with the City of Kuching South.
